I believe that no matter how young or old you are, you’re still the expert on your own feelings, values, and lifestyle. I support my clients from the littlest tots up to those facing end of life issues in expressing themselves, advocating for themselves, and exercising their autonomy to live the life they want, even in the face of pressures from family, friends, workplaces, religious affiliations, or society at large. Together we will strip away all of the outside influences and bring your own core self to the forefront while building your support network and coping skills.

Therapy isn’t just a profession for me, it is a way of life that I am constantly learning more about and applying for my own growth and recovery. I’ll never suggest something to you that I wouldn’t be willing to try myself. As an adoptee, a biological parent, and an adoptive parent and grandparent, I can connect and understand what my clients are going through no matter what stage or side of the process they are on. I am also a member of the LGBTQ+ community, polyamorous, and late-diagnosed neurodivergent.
Additionally, having focused on child welfare, trauma recovery, adoption and attachment, and family relationship challenges for over a decade in my professional career, I bring a multi-faceted perspective and understanding as well as a strong knowledge of the resources available and current best practices to anyone in the process of overcoming these hurdles in their life.
I utilize an eclectic approach, borrowing concepts from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), play therapy, and child development theories to collaboratively build an individualized roadmap for each client I work with, interweaving a strengths based and trauma-informed lens to everything we do.
